Signing

Eli is really good at signing when he wants something. I thought I'd share some of his talents with you. Of course it's hard to catch an action with one snap of the camera, but here he is signing "more", "please", "thank you" and "all done".

Happy Birthday PaPa Schneider!

Sunday we celebrated Grandpa ("papa" as Eli says) Schneider's birthday.  Thanks to Grandma Anita we had a yummy fried chicken dinner, followed by one of Grandpa's favorites--Crazy Chocolate Cake.  Yum!

Grandpa teasing Eli.  I'm pretty sure Eli ate most of Grandpa's cake and ice cream :)

Sunday Drives

Anthony and I love to go on Sunday drives, especially when the weather is nice.  This particular day we wanted to take Eli to see some cows.  Luckily, we have some connections where cows are concerned.  Eli was ready...can you tell?

Checking out the cows and some new baby calves too!

Fingerpainting

Exploring our senses with fingerpaint!

 "This tastes terrible!"

Such a cheese ball!  But so darn cute!

First Boo-Boo

With the great weather a couple of weeks ago, we played outside almost every afternoon.  Eli and I went on a walk around the subdivision, where he had a blast checking everything out and splashing in the puddles from all of the melting snow.  He also liked trying out his running skill--hence his first boo-boo.  Before I could stop him he took off running, tripped and wiped out!  His forehead got a good scrape and a little bruise, but in true boy fashion he cried for a second and took off running again.  Gotta love boys!

Playing Outside...FINALLY!

As the snow melts away, and the weather warms up we finally get a chance to head outdoors!  I know in a few weeks when the baby comes Eli's time outside will be limited for a while, so we are squeezing in as much time as possible in the beautiful sunshine!  Eli loves riding his little bike around!  Did you notice his new trick?  When you tell Eli to "smile" he wrinkles his nose and squints his eyes to give you a rotten grin!
Playing with what's left of the snow!

And I'm off.... heading down the street to check things out!
Swinging at the park!

There's that smile again!  Eli loved the slide!! (Mommy did not love having to hoist him up to the top over and over again, but it was worth it to see that smile!)

WWWEEEEEEE!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We don't do a whole lot for Valentine's Day around our house yet, but I thought it would be cute to make Valentine's for Grandparents this year!  I found the idea for these cute Valentines at Brown Paper Package's. (one of my favorite blog's) I used scrap paper to make them and added Eli's little thumb print!  I just had to share!  Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh the Joys of Winter!

We have had SO MUCH SNOW this winter!  As I watch Anthony dig out from our Blizzard 2011, I am posting a few pictures of our activities this last month.  Eli and I spend the majority of our days indoors, but I love it when it gets warm enough to take him outside in the afternoons!  The fresh air is amazing for both of us!  I can't wait for spring for two reasons--the little guy's arrival and warmer weather!
Here is Eli checking out what was left after one of our snow storms one morning!

Later that day I bundled Eli up and we headed out the door--not before a picture of course!  (Eli's leaning on the door ready to go)

What a sweet smile!  This was the first time Eli got to go out and play in the snow since he's been able to walk really well.  He took OFF!  It's a good thing we don't have much traffic, because he (and I) wandered down the street quite a ways.  He was SO happy to get to roam free, chase his shadow, bust up snow balls and dig in the snow.  Only later did he figure out he could eat some of the snow too!

Watching daddy dig us out (again).
