To Texas and Back

Our drive to TX for Anthony's cousin Steven's wedding went pretty smooth....on the way down.  Henry slept from 10pm until 6:30am and Eli slept pretty good, with only a hour or two wake up in the middle of the night.  Overall, I would say it was pretty smooth.
Eli doing some reading as he woke up and we looked for a place to eat breakfast, just before the TX state line.
Anthony, Eli and Jacob Schneider at the Ft. Worth Stockyards on Friday (July 8th).
I can't say it was that enjoyable, because it was pretty hot that day.  However I'm glad we went, because Ft. Worth really was an interesting place.
Saturday morning we got up and headed to LEGOLAND!  Unfortunately we didn't know Eli was beginning to get sick.  We were sure he was just tired from the drive, however after nap he woke up with a fever.  :(  Legoland was still very neat, I'd love to go back when the boys are a little older!
Going down the "Lego Duplo" slide.
Hanging out at the hotel in Uncle Pete's boots.  We were SO glad my brother Pete drove up to Dallas, from Houston, to spend the weekend with us. It was a whirlwind, but it's always good to catch up!
Henry at the Dallas Children's Aquarium...really neat for kids!  (and adults too)  We saw lots of interesting creatures and it was a great place to beat the Dallas heat!

Uncle Pete and Eli playing/feeding the sting rays.  Eli loved them!
Henry and Daddy watching the boys splashing around.
Family photo before we headed back home.
Pete, Mom and I in front of the Aquarium.
I'm so glad we made the trip, the wedding was beautiful & it was great spending time with mom and Pete.  However the drive back was pretty horrible.  We left Sunday afternoon and slowly made our way through Oklahoma.  By the evening Eli was in a terrible mood and as we drove through the night he screamed the whole way home--working up to a 103 degree temp.  By the time we took him to the dr the next morning his fever broke and they told us it was just a sore throat....terrible timing.  :)
